Laptop computers - Airport Security and Xray Pictures
Have you ever wondered why they ask you to remove your laptop from its bag and place it in a separate tray at the airport?
Well, as you may have already guessed, the answer is actually quite straight forward.
Because there are so many electrical and gadgety components in a laptop it is difficult to see if there is anything else in the case, therefore they ask you to remove it from the case as a security measure to make sure that the laptop and/or case are not being used to smuggle illegal objects. Basically, it’s so the laptop and case can be observed more clearly on the xray with less chance of them concealing something illegal.
Now you may be asking yourself why have I written such a short and seemingly irrelevant article about laptops and airport security? Well, I’m glad you asked… I found this cool xray picture of a computer (I know it’s a desktop, but still cool) and was looking for a good reason to share it here
